This November, Dominican University is hosting its first AI Innovation Challenge, a two day weekend where undergraduate and graduate students from every major team up in small groups to build a working AI solution for a real problem brought by a sponsor organization or community nonprofit. No coding background or prior AI experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to build. The event puts our teaching philosophy into practice: students learn best by creating, experimenting, and connecting ideas to problems they actually care about.
